Kilteely & Dromkeen Parish Fundraiser

Your contribution makes a big difference! Thank you

At the beginning of the year I gave a five-year overview of our Parish finances. You will recall that of recent years we have been struggling to meet our annual outgoings. Our parish income up to now is derived primarily from two sources: (1) Weekly basket collections and (2) Monthly/Yearly Envelopes. It is abundantly clear that we need another source of income to keep us financially viable into the future. I am very hopeful that this new venture of a Parish Lotto will go a long way towards putting us on a firmer footing.

The past year has been very challenging on so many fronts. It has been a strange and difficult year for everyone. Not being able to gather for public Masses has been particularly difficult. As we approach Easter this year, we continue with restrictions that limit our ability to gather. A ray of hope in the midst of Covid-19 is the launch of our Parish Lotto. What would be nicer this Easter than to win €500!

We have a number of immediate projects to tackle this year if the Parish Lotto proves successful. The carpet in Kilteely Church needs to be renewed. The parochial house needs to be painted. Internal repair work needed to be carried out in Dromkeen Church.

I hope that as many families as possible will consider joining our Parish Lotto. Even short term, with no weekend Masses, you might apply your weekly contribution to purchasing a €2 line. If you can contribute 3 lines for €5 it would be hugely appreciated, and you never know you might just win!

Please pass the word on and invite friends and family.

Thank you!
