Welcome to the Dunboyne Junior & Senior Primary Schools weekly fundraiser draw. The money raised will be used to directly support our schools and your children’s education.
The junior school is seeking to fundraise for new playground equipment because we firmly believe that play is not an “extra” in a child’s school day – it is a fundamental part of how children learn, develop, and thrive.
High-quality playground equipment provides children with daily opportunities to develop their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive skills naturally and engagingly. Through active play, pupils build strength, coordination, balance, and overall fitness, which directly supports their readiness for learning in the classroom.
This initiative is particularly important in supporting the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs. Sensory-friendly and inclusive equipment can provide vital supports for regulation, movement breaks, and engagement, ensuring that every child can access and enjoy their school environment fully.
Ultimately, this is an investment not just in equipment but in our pupils – in their happiness, their health, their relationships, and their capacity to learn.
We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us create a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging play environment for all children in our school.
The senior school will use the money raised to purchase IT equipment, sports equipment, classroom and teaching resources.
We will keep you updated about what we have been able to purchase so you can see the positive benefit of your support.
We hope that the weekly option of 1 line for €2.50 will allow everybody to contribute.
